It is rare for a company to “get it”, but then be able to share?! They nailed it!
About a month ago, I was asked if I would like to be apart of a video that would show another side to Fatherhood. I had no idea what to expect. As soon as I heard that DoveMen+Care were the ones behind it, I had no doubt that I wanted to do it.
Before I go on, I do want to make this perfectly clear, this is not a paid or sponsored post. DoveMen+Care has nothing invested in this posting. If you have followed some of my previous posting, then you should already know what a huge fan of DoveMen+Care I am. This is a company that “get it”, and are changing the narrative!
Still not sure what I am talking about, check me out with Rob Candelino, VP of marketing for Dove Men+Care, and Brad Harrington, executive director of the Boston College Center for Work and Family, on the TODAY show talking about the responsibilities that dads are taking on in family life today, Click here. (Ok, I am not personally on the show, but Miles and I are shown in the video!)
This amazing video. It is not only my son’s call to me personally, but hearing the calls from all of the other kids to their dads, so touching. A smile on my face and a tear (or two) in my eyes, every time I have watched this. So I will watch it again for the thousandth time…
“Three quarters of dads say they are responsible for their child’s emotional well-being, while only 20% of dads see this role reflected in media. It’s time to acknowledge the caring moments of fatherhood that often go overlooked.” – DoveMen+Care
I am very grateful for the way Dove Men+Care depicts fathers and shows that dads are very important to a child’s development. One can only hope that other companies will follow their lead, and take an active role in changing societies perception of fathers.
I can not thank DoveMen+Care enough, I appreciate being able to be a part of this video.
What a great way to start off the week before Father’s Day, I am excited to see what the rest of this week brings!
